About Us

At the Atmaruchi Foundation, we believe that true wellness begins from within. Based in the United States, our non-profit organization is dedicated to a shared vision: attaining fulfillment through knowledge and self-awareness. We empower people of all ages across North America to navigate the complexities of modern life by embracing the peaceful, mindful principles of a Jain lifestyle. By integrating spiritual wisdom with daily well-being, we help our community cultivate resilience, clarity, and a deep sense of inner peace.

Our Philosophy: Interest Drives Transformation

Our foundation is built upon the profound insight:

"Ruchi tene paar utaar.." & (Atma) "ruchi anuyayi virya" (Spiritual yearning and authentic interest are the keys to a better self; our inner strength and behavior are naturally guided by what we value most.)

We believe that wellbeing is not just the absence of stress, but the presence of Atmaruchi—a soulful interest in one’s own growth. When we align our interests with our higher selves, our actions follow suit, leading to a balanced and harmonious life.

Our Heritage and Guidance

This core philosophy is woven through the timeless compositions of great visionaries like Yogiraj Shree Anandghanji, Mahamahopadhyaya Shree Yashovijay Ji, and Pujyapadji Shrimad Devchandraji.

We are profoundly blessed to carry forward these teachings under the compassionate guidance of Pannyasji Bhagvant, Kalapurna Suri Dada, Bhaktiyogacharya Gurudev Shree Yashovijay Suri Ji, and Acharya Labhdhi Vallabh Ma Sa. Their wisdom, along with the sants and sadhaks whose presence we were lucky to be graced with, provides the blueprint for our commitment to communal and individual wellness.

Our Core Values

  1. Awareness (Atma-Bodha)

We believe that wellness begins with self-awareness. By fostering a deep understanding of our thoughts and emotions, we empower individuals to live consciously rather than reactively. Knowledge is the light that clears the fog of stress and confusion.

  2. Intentional Living (Ruchi)

At the heart of our foundation is the belief that interest shapes destiny. We encourage our community to cultivate a "soulful interest" (Ruchi) in their personal growth. When our intentions are aligned with our values, mental clarity and emotional stability follow naturally.

  3. Compassionate Mindfulness (Ahinsa & Karuna)

True wellbeing extends beyond the self. We promote a lifestyle of non-violence and empathy, recognizing that kindness toward ourselves and others is the ultimate foundation for a peaceful mind and a harmonious society.

  4. Inner Equilibrium (Samayika)

In a fast-paced world, we provide the tools to find equanimity. We teach the art of remaining balanced amidst life’s ups and downs, helping young professionals and children develop the resilience needed to maintain mental health in any environment.

  5. Spiritual Integrity (Virya)

We believe in the directed use of inner energy. By channeling our strengths (Virya) toward noble purposes and self-improvement, we transform daily work and study into a path of fulfillment and purpose.
